Coquitlam’s new City Hall Annex will provide much-needed additional office space for two City departments.

CHA2

The space features both open and enclosed workspaces, easily accessible meeting rooms and breakout spaces, a connection to natural daylight at the perimeter, and a kitchen space designed to allow for casual socializing and interaction.

CHA3

The white exposed ceiling mutes the building services while increasing the ceiling height in the small space. Wood slats span across the space, framing the open work area and introducing warmth into the space.

A Delicate Box for Delicate Hands

This wood sample box is designed do disappear into the background so that the samples become the main focus.

Pikksalu Laneway House

The project is the first laneway house proposal in the West Vancouver neighborhood. Through explorations in materiality, form, and structural expression, the design proposes a subtle contemporary shift from the traditional residential house, thus blending in seamlessly with the rest of the neighborhood. The design takes advantage of the sloping grade of the site to claim FSR exclusions, allowing for an extra bedroom and washroom.
