The project is the first laneway house proposal in the West Vancouver neighborhood. Through explorations in materiality, form, and structural expression, the design proposes a subtle contemporary shift from the traditional residential house, thus blending in seamlessly with the rest of the neighborhood. The design takes advantage of the sloping grade of the site to claim FSR exclusions, allowing for an extra bedroom and washroom.
The project was unfortunately canceled and remains unbuilt.
