LACIE RUGGED MINI 2TB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE
When I was in architecture school, I accidentally dropped one of my hard drives, and the cost of the repair was around $2000. Since then, I have treated my hard drives like fragile babies. These LaCie hard drives are slightly more expensive than your standard ones but are great if you're taking them around the studio or traveling. They really give you peace of mind, knowing that even if you drop them, your precious data will still be intact. I think it's a good idea to have at least one of them in your home.
